What is SANO JCC?

The SANO Junior Chefs Club is a club that ignites  your love for cooking as a beginner; enhances your culinary skills and challenges an experienced junior chef. For the curious mind, we promise to interest you with knowledge of our rich African culture and incorporate  the STEAM approach of learning.

What is S.T.E.A.M?

S.T.E.A.M is an educational approach to learning that adopts cross curriculum subjects in the delivery of a concept. At SANO, we deploy STEAM-Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics- to enrich the minds of our children. What better way to explore S.T.E.A.M, than using food and the art of cooking.

At What Age Can I Sign Up?

Our box is suitable for children between the ages 5 and 14. Depending on your ability and kitchen skills, you might need more or less help from an adult. Children between ages 3 and 4 are also welcome to start working on the box completely supervised by an adult.

How Much Does SANO JCC Kit Cost?

We offer the following:

  • Single Box Plan: The single box costs N12,000
  • 3 Boxes a Year Plan: Requires an upfront payment of N31,680 at N10,560 a box and renews on the 1st of the month. Free apron included.
  • 6 Boxes a Year Plan:  Requires an upfront payment of N61,200 at N10,200 a box and renews on the 1st of the month. 1 Free apron included.

*All our boxes are themed monthly.

What Is In My Box?

Everything in our themed box is tested and approved as suitable for children.

Each themed box contains:

  • 3 Recipe Cards
  • Challenge Recipe Card
  • 3 African History Cards
  • Kitchen tool of the Month
  • Chef Sano’s Achievement Badge
  • Complete Shopping and Kitchen Tools List
  • 3 Handy Kitchen Tips

Will I Get Food Ingredients In The Box?

Ingredients either wet or dry are not included in the box. We believe that all ingredients should be freshly sourced from your local farmers markets or supermarket. To aid your preparation, we'll email a shopping list for each month's recipes before your box is shipped. Or we can help you get your dry ingredients, visit our shop and place the order!

Can You Help Source The Ingredients?

Yes we can. We understand that sometimes getting around to purchasing all the ingredients on the list might be difficult. So you have the opportunity to purchase the exact ingredients and quantities on our webpage. Just login to our store and purchase the ingredient bag for whichever recipe you might need help with.

Please note that we do not ship perishable ingredients (i.e vegetables, dairy and meat produce).

This is only available within Nigeria.

Do You Repeat the Themes?

Each box is created with a different theme and we never repeat a theme. If you missed a theme, previous themes will be made available for purchased on our store page.

How do I Keep My Recipes Safe?

We have a recipe binder that helps you store recipes for years to come. It is divided into chapters, making it easy for your Junior Chef to find and cook up their favourite meals. For easy reference it also contains Kitchen rules and Universal Kitchen Measurements. Please order yours on our store page.

Can I Personalize My Box?

We do not have the option to change contents of each box. All our boxes are designed and extensively tested as suitable for both boys and girls.

Can I Access More Materials?

Yes!! Our Junior Chefs can sign-in to the members page on the website for extra servings. This gives you unlimited access to more recipes, history lessons, activities, videos and more outside of the content in your box.

Where Do I Post Videos and Pictures?

Please send all pictures and video clips to chefsano@sanojcc.com.

Also look out for the challenge of the month! This is a chance to qualify for an invite tothe SANO studio kitchen and to be a part of our cooking show.

*All completed challenge recipe cards MUST be submitted along with videos or pictures.

How do I give a feedback or complaint about my box?

We welcome all feedbacks from our users. Our goal is to ensure you get the best out of our boxes but if you encounter any problem please do contact us using the following methods:

Can I Cancel My Subscription at Anytime?

You are allowed to cancel but this will be effected only after the subscription period has expired which is typically before the 15th of the month.

To cancel, use the following steps:

  1. Login to your account using the member’s log-in page
  2. Select cancel my subscription; enter your password as requested.

What are my options when I have more than one child?

Box Sharing: Cooking together provides the opportunity to work as a team.

  • Sibling Add-On: This is available in the store page i.e an extra set of tools and Chef Sano’s achievement badge, with each box.
  • You can also share one set of recipe and activities card, but only one challenge recipe submission is allowed per box
  • When shipping out each box, we will add additional tools and achievement badges for an extra N4000.

                                  OR

  • Order an Additional Subscription: This allows each child the delight of receiving their own box. Also allows for working together but gives the opportunity to complete all activities and enter the challenge recipe competition independently.

Where do you Ship To?

Our boxes can be shipped all over the world. Please allow 3 to 5 business days after shipment for deliveries within Nieria and 14 business days for international shipping. We use DHL for both Local and International deliveries. If your box does not arrive after 21days of receiving the tracking email, please contact our customer service team on sanoexperience@sanojcc.com

How much is Shipping?

All boxes are shipped according to the shippers’ rate at the time of placing the order. At checkout, the shipping fee is calculated and added to your final bill. 

We also offer the option for free pickup of a box at our Lagos office.

Do you run a Referral Program?

Yes we run a referral program. Refer a friend and get 5% discount on any item purchased on the store page.
